• Act in the best interests of the environmental health and sustainability of the lake and its watershed.
• Generate a knowledge base regarding the functioning of the lake and its watershed; for example, support projects related to the monitoring and evaluation of the lake’s water quality and habitat.
• Support scientific research to develop watershed management plans and priorities for restoring already damaged areas.
• Support initiatives, events, projects or legal actions aimed at the protection, preservation and enhancement of the lake’s environmental health.
• Increase the public’s awareness and appreciation of the lake’s environmental health through education.
• Advance public education on the protection of the lake’s habitat.
